Social media has become a major part of the City of Jackson's communication to not only the media but to the citizens as well. The city of Jackson uses a number of methods to reach the community including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. In the first two years of Mayor Conger's administration, followers/likes have increased.

Mayor Scott Conger has served two years into his term as mayor of the City of Jackson, TN. Despite serving his first full calendar year during a worldwide pandemic, he has made the City’s fiscal health a priority through balancing the budget.

The City of Jackson acquired a new infrared street repair machine in the fall of 2020 to help in the process of decreasing the number of potholes on city streets. The infrared machine is used as a secondary tool to the City’s pothole patch machine.

The City of Jackson announced, last fall, the implementation of new leaf pickup process. The city’s groundskeeping department began running leaf machine starting in November – the end of March 2021.

In December 2020, the City of Jackson central dispatch department answered 9,498 dispatch line calls and 4,327 911 line calls.

The Jackson Animal Care Center increased its intake and adoption rate in 2020.
