TRASH 4 CA$H

Does your non-profit group want to earn some cash for your cause or an upcoming event? The 2021 Mayor's Youth Council and Keep Jackson Beautiful offers the "Trash 4 Cash" program where groups can up $100.00/mile of street by reducing litter in our city.

Mission

The mission of this program is to promote Public Environmental Awareness by Reducing Litter, Encouraging Recycling Efforts, and continuing to create a unique sense of pride in our city. This program is designed for non-profit groups such as schools, churches, civic groups and other community organization groups.

Other organizations and businesses that are not non-profit organizations may qualify to participate, if they choose to participate by donating their Trash 4 Cash cleanup proceeds to their favorite non-profit organization. This is a wonderful opportunity to help a non-profit organization reach its goal.

What Is Trash 4 Cash?

The City of Jackson's Trash 4 Cash is a fundraising opportunity for non-profit organizations. Upon acceptance into the program, Keep Jackson Beautiful Director will assign your group a cleanup area with in the City of Jackson city limits. Non-profit groups can clean roadways in the city and make $100.00 per mile (both sides of a 1-mile street). The City of Jackson will guarantee one line mile of cleaning per group. Each group leader is responsible for turning in all liability waivers before the group's assigned cleanup date. The City will provide gloves, bags, safety vests, and litter gripper tools for cleanup. Once the cleanup is concluded, the City will remove the filled bags from the roadway.
