Jackson, Tenn. – The City of Jackson, TN’s Health and Sanitation Department will hold its Community Clean-up Day (Mattress, Tires, and Furniture Disposal event) on Saturday, April 18th, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Public Works Yard located at 164 Conalco Drive.

This bulk waste drop-off and paper shredding event will help residents better discard large items that are difficult to dispose of elsewhere. The event will allow citizens to shred documents and drop off items such as tires, mattresses, furniture, and other bulk items.

We hope to encourage people to use their twice a week trash service, 12 annual scheduled bulk waste pick-ups, and events like this free community day clean-up to promote a safer, healthier, and cleaner city of Jackson. During this event, we will also divert items that can be recycled from the landfill to our City of Jackson, TN Recycle Center.
