As of July 15, 2003, all contractors doing business within the city limits of Jackson, Tennessee, should register with the Jackson Registered Contractor Program.

This program is a consumer protections information service that will verify that a contractor doing business within the Jackson city limits has the minimum license and insurance required by law. Doing business with a Jackson Registered Contractor is the first step toward avoiding disreputable or unqualified contractors.

The City of Jackson Mayor's Office and the City of Jackson Building Department have asked that all contractors participate in this program.
