It is the goal of JACC to make sure every animal and animal owner in our City is receiving the information and resources they need to thrive. We offer several assistance options to improve quality of life for all of our residents- big or small!
As many of you know, we are in the beginning stages of new program implementation. Most of our programs are very new and still have some bugs to be worked out, so please be patient with us as we try to help. Below is a list of the programs we currently offer and a brief explanation of each one.
Please contact us for more info about the program you are interested in.
Low-cost Spay/Neuter Assistance
Every year, hundreds of thousands of unwanted dogs and cats in America, including puppies and kittens, are needlessly euthanized. The good news is that every pet owner can help make a difference. By having your dog or cat surgically sterilized so it cannot reproduce, you will do your part to prevent the birth of unwanted puppies and kittens and can enhance your pet's health and quality of life. We want to help your pet, by helping you afford the procedure. Email us at [email protected] or come by the shelter to pick up an application for our discount vouchers.
Pet Food Bank
JACC knows that everybody hits financial hardship sometimes and we want to help keep animals with the people that love them. Don't surrender your animal because you cant afford pet food. Reach out to us during normal business hours and we'll help you make it over the tough patch.
Community Cat TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return)
TNR stops the breeding cycle of cats and therefore improves their lives while preventing reproduction. It is a fact that the removal and killing of outdoor cats that animal control has been pursuing for decades is never ending and has little effect on the total number of cats- we simply can't trap them fast enough. Since feral cats are not adoptable, they must be euthanized in shelters. With a program like Trap-Neuter-Return to turn to we want to try to help stem the tide of unwanted cats and kittens without having to euthanize mass quantities of cats. If you need assistance in your neighborhood or you'd like to volunteer to help with this program, please contact us.
Operation Uplift
There are many people in our community who are wonderful humans that love their pets wholeheartedly, but they can't afford the necessities of life for their animals. This program offers assistance to pet owners in need of basic care items such as quality shelter, collars, leashes, etc.
