The Street Crimes Unit(SCU) was created in 2009 as a crime suppression unit. SCU is supervised by Sgt. Daniel Washburn [email protected].

SCU has a diverse set of assignments and responsibilities. SCU works with different divisions within the Jackson Police Department and other outside agencies, as well as participating in many Community Outreach Programs. The Street Crimes Unit is assigned to Investigative Services and falls under the command of Major Phillip Kemper [email protected].
